I charged into 2009 with my head down like a kid piling into a playground brawl.
I’m still charging. I just haven’t got to the brawl yet. It’s around here somewhere.
There’s a shedload of stuff I want to get done in 2009, most of it carried over from last year. Finish more spec scripts, network, find an agent, make a short film (somehow!), edit the novel, publish the novel, write the theme tune, sing the theme tune.
That kind of thing.
But my real objective for 2009 is to stay excited about screenwriting. I want to bottle the excitement I felt when I learned I’d got through to the second round of Red Planet so I can unscrew it and take a sniff now and then. Take a sip when I get the inevitable rejections.
